| Yoni (Jonny in Hebrew) began spinning his web of pop music in 2001, within the trenches of NYC's much vaulted dance scene. His first single "TimePeace" was a classic afterhours track both heralding and spoofing the turn-of-the-millenium consumerist frenzy. | On October 2 2001, Ja Rule released his third album, Pain Is Love. The first single, "Livin' It Up" was a hit which featured guest vocals by R&B singer Case and sampled Stevie Wonder's "Do I Do". | Wolf Parade released their debut EP in 2003 with only Krug, Boeckner and Thompson performing on it. After Bakara joining, they released another independent, self-titled EP in 2004. They were signed to Sub Pop by Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse and released their first widely-distributed record, the EP Wolf Parade.
